Home Wood Development is seeking to build a 15-lot subdivision off of Markley Rd.
The 3.8 acre subdivision will be on the east side of Markley, between James Hill Dr and Beechmont Ave.
Demolition of the homes at 1102 and 1120 Markley Rd would be necessary for the access drive, which will be a public street named English Garden Lane.
The 15 lots will surround a cul-de-sac.

Over-the-Rhine news, 1/29/07
Over-the-Rhine Housing Network is working on a rehab of 530 E Thirteenth St. In fact, they've been working on this for quite a while. The property is a two-family built around 1885. I'm not sure if this will be market-rate or rental housing.
Model Management should be starting soon on a total renovation of 1344 Vine St. I don't know how many units will result.
1518 Race St was supposed to be razed, but I'm not sure if it's down yet. The building was condemened and has been vacant since at least 2003. Bricks and boards (from windows) were falling off of the building and it was deemed a danger.

Evanston: Jonathan Meadows
This project is being built on Jonathan Ave, near Walnut Hills High School and I-71.
At buildout, this development will consist of 22 townhomes.
The project is spearheaded by the Avondale and Walnut Hills redevelopment corporations, along with the Evanston Community Council and others who made the financing possible.
The project is a definite plus, and I shouldn't criticize. But I will, at least a couple of times, anyway:
Khaki and brick. How original! Why so bland? Is this Kyles Station?
What's with the seam running down the middle?

Carthage: Cincinnati Central Credit Union
This appears to be nearing completion, at least as far as the exterior goes.
This building, on Vine at 70th St, replaces a truly horrible building with asphalt siding.
The redevelopment project is by Cincinnati Housing Partners, who has been doing a lot of positive, quality work in and around Carthage.
Mount Adams news
JFP Properties has purchased three vacant residential lots at 372-386 Baum St for just over $1,000,000. You might know these folks from their work on the McAlpin, McMillan Manor and the proposed Highland Lofts.
1238 Elsinore Pl is supposed to be demolished some time soon. This is right next to the completed three-unit project. I believe this is being done by the same folks. This property is in good shape--it's going down for a reason. It's either for more modern infill housing or for the benefit of the new project next door. I wouldn't be surprised to see more of those houses go eventually, though none will be torn down in the near future.
The hill is jumpin'.

Over-the-Rhine news
183 and 187 Zier Pl are in the process of being demolished. These were rundown shacks of Steven Pavelish. They was declared a public nuisance last April and March respectively, and, despite attempts to stay the demolition, an Intent to Raze was posted in August for 183 and June for 187.
(183 and 187)

I think 185 Zier is going to be remodeled pending the action wrapping up on the adjacent properties. It looks to be in pretty good shape. I believe it's owner-occupied.

I think interior demo has started, or is getting ready to start, on the condo project at 512-526 Reading. (More about that project, plus a photo of the buildings, on this UrbanOhio post:
