The Fort Thomas Recorder reports that the City of Fort Thomas has applied to have its Midway District added to the National Register of Historic Places.

Officials from the National Historic Register will be in town for a public meeting to discuss the application Tuesday night at 7 PM at the Armory, .

The Midway District contains homes and businesses that grew up to support the nearby fort, which is already on the National Register.

A final decision on the application is expected in January.
