The first of four planned housing redevelopment groundbreakings in College Hill takes place this morning at 10 AM at (BIRD'S EYE).
The College Hill Forum Housing Team and redevelopment partner Working in Neighborhoods is inviting the public to attend the start of a new LEED-certified single-family home.
Part of the group's targeted Cedar Avenue area, the site once contained a badly deteriorated house that was razed in 2007 after it was determined that it could not be saved.
As part of the redevelopment plan, a house at 1304 Cedar Avenue was also razed.
Cincinnati Mayor Mark Mallory is expected to attend today's ceremony.
A dinner for neighbors will be held from 5:30 PM to 7 PM at St. Clare Church.
