Krohn Conservatory and the Butterfly Show

I took my mom to the Krohn Conservatory Butterfly Show as a belated Mother's Day gift.

"The Silk Road" featured hundreds of butterflies from throughout Asia, flying freely and landing on peoples' hair and making the children cry.

The show also featured cultural and artistic gifts from Cincinnati's sister city, Liuzhou, China, and all kinds of native plants and flowers.

The mercury topped out at about 650 degrees that day, but the place was still packed with tons of people, including groups of children who were being treated to educational programs in a sweltering tent.

These photos have been added to the Krohn Conservatory gallery, which can be found in the drop-down menu at the top of the right-hand column.

Please click on each image to enlarge to 800 x 600. Photos will open in a new browser window.

I went to the show when it first opened. It was fun, but really HOT inside.
