The Vintage Club of Montgomery, the $150 million 67-acre mixed-use project being developed (BIRD'S EYE) by Great Traditions Development Company, is enjoying steady sales despite a slow housing market.
Fifteen of the 40 estate lots have been sold and the building permits released, and 20 of the courtyard homes have been completed or are under construction.
The mid-sized club homes have achieved 9 building permits for lots in the 20-lot section.
Two of the project's condominium buildings have been approved by the city, adding a total of 37 units.
Great Traditions has begun to market the first phase of condominiums with prices starting at $200,000.
Over the past year, the developers have also added a community center and have designed a village center at the entrance from Montgomery Road.
The city and developer are currently working on the development's final design, including underground parking garages that will accommodate future businesses and residents.
At buildout, Vintage Club is envisioned as a pedestrian-friendly neighborhood of over 200 residential units and 150,000 square feet of commercial space arranged around a village green.
Ten homes within the development were part of the 2007 Homearama Luxury Edition.
