Cause of death: A partially collapsing stone foundation wall, rotted framing that was sinking into the defective foundations, and a collapsing front porch. It was condemned in April 2005. The out-of-town owners (Amelia) failed to attend pre-prosecution hearings. The house was declared a public nuisance in September 2006. A criminal case was filed in May 2007, but appears to have gone nowhere. The property was likely abandoned. It was razed by the City as part of its hazard abatement program.
