Sigh, the destruction of Corryville continues...

4370 Beech Hill Ave. is the former Schwab School.

Yes, it is. My galleries have no photos of Schwab, sadly, but I have a couple of shots of the kickass row of houses on Beech Hill.

OK, not so sadly...Schwab wasn't the kind of place that drew my eye. But I'm sure it holds fond memories for many.

Kevin, 3400 Vine is listed as being in Corryville. Is that right? Isn't it Clifton or Avondale?
Do you know what is being appealed regarding parking/structures. Are they wanting to build a garage in the south west corner of the zoo lot. Or maybe it is about the solar structures? Just wondered.

What can we do about it? This is really sad. I walk past abandoned buildings every day.

^ Buy a building. Advocate for a building. Connect community development corporations with a neighborhood building. Push for historic status for a building. Work toward receivership when it's obvious a landlord doesn't have the means to maintain a building. Contact your preservation professionals.

There is plenty you can do, short of having money to bail the owner out.
