Why is it considered "another bad subdivision?"

Well, this is an urban-themed blog, so the first reason for my comment would be my own personal tastes - colored by sound planning principles.

Mainly, though, it's based upon the same tired principles of building subdivisions that is not going to be sustainable once people decide that they don't want to drive anywhere.

That may be okay for the super-rich who won't have to adjust their habits, but this is the kind of mid-range home that's likely to be inhabited by people who might actually feel the pinch.

The whole subdivision lacks connectivity, and lacks context in relation to its surroundings.

The housing designs lack imagination and already look dated. And are they designed for living, or are the living spaces just an afterthought to the massive garages that dominate the facades?

But most of all...I think the subdivision has been abandoned. All of the listings have either been canceled or have expired. The builder's website does not work. Perhaps Kaylor has gone under? I don't know.

Thanks for the thoughtful reply. I enjoy reading your blog seeing the news that won't necessarily be on the local TV broadcasts. I grew up in a pretty walkable part of town, moved out to the suburbs for a few years and will be moving back soon. Having to drive 15 minutes or more just to get to something wasn't my cup of tea.
