Cause of death: A deteriorated roof, rotten structural support, cracked and broken masonry, and a collapsing chimney and retaining wall. Portions of the building were falling into the street. The house, which had been vacant since at least 2004, was heavily vandalized. New owners acquired the building in April for $1,000 and had it razed.
