Cincinnati City Council has approved $1 million in capital improvement for road improvements to Northside's that are deemed necessary to the success of CiTiRAMA 2009.
Rockford Place, a narrow road that provides the only access point to the first phase of the 16-home Rockford Woods subdivision, presents hillside slippage and drainage issues that many residents fear that phase two residential and construction traffic will worsen.
The City's Department of Transportation and Engineering is looking into the redesign and improvement of the street, but no date has been set for construction to begin.
Neither a subdivision improvement plan nor a dedication plat for the 37-home second phase of Rockford Woods has been approved.
Council plans to add a funding request for the project in its 2009 Capital Budget recommendation.
Rockford Woods' first phase was featured in CiTiRAMA 2001.
