Roselawn property rezoned for light manufacturing park

Earlier this month, Cincinnati City Council passed an emergency ordinance to rezone nearly 13 acres of Roselawn property in an attempt to make it more marketable to developers.

The ordinance changes the zoning at from IR Industrial-Residential to ML Manufacturing Limited, paving the way for a light manufacturing park.

Currently owned by the State of Ohio, the now cleared property is the former home of the Summit Behavioral Center, which has relocated to a facility farther north.

The City of Cincinnati is working to acquire and market the property, which it expects to build upon the research and development, flex industrial and back office success of the adjacent TechSolve Business Park.

The corridor was identified as one of three new growth opportunity areas in January 2008's GO Cincinnati report.

The City Planning Commission approved of the rezoning last April.

1530 Seymour Avenue, which houses Domicile Realtors, was also rezoned to make its zoning consistent with surrounding properties.
