- In Westwood, a historic home that had been used as a nursing facility was razed due to owner indifference.
- The Community Development Corporations Association of Greater Cincinnati recognized the top projects and people in the public sector of community development during its 2009 Annual Awards Celebration in Clifton.
- In Evanston, Cincinnati City Council transferred capital funds from an exterior improvement loan program to aid in the $12.5 million King Studios project.
- Forty-five photos from the Carew Tower observation deck were added to the Building Cincinnati galleries.
- The City of Cincinnati entered into a project partnership agreement with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers for the construction of Cincinnati Riverfront Park.
- Cincinnati City Council accepted $475,000 in U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development funding for environmental remediation at the MetroWest Commerce Park site in Lower Price Hill.
- A pocket park dedicated to the work of local artist Henry Farny was dedicated in Covington's Westside neighborhood.
